FERMENTING THE FUTRE

The Kimchi Festival is not just an event; it’s a movement. Under our inspiring 2025 motto, “Fermenting the Future,” we are crafting a vibrant cultural experience that, much like the transformative power of kimchi, nurtures growth, fosters connection, and cultivates a thriving, resilient community.
This festival, born from a profound need to support mental well-being and alleviate stress during the pandemic, remains passionately dedicated to building a healthier, more understanding, and supportive environment through the universal language of culture.
Last year, the Kimchi Festival proudly welcomed over 6,000 attendees, a testament to its undeniable appeal. This year, in 2025, we are poised to attract an estimated 10,000 food and culture enthusiasts from every walk of life to the heart of Philadelphia, Love Park. Your partnership is not just support; it’s an investment in the future of our community.

1. Businesses in the promotional areas may only include licensed, for-profit businesses.
2. Exhibitors are encouraged to distribute promotions, coupons, and take orders.
3. All distribution of promotional items must be pre-approved by the Kimchi Festival Committee to ensure diversity and prevent conflict with other street vendors selling products at the festival. This means arts and crafts, water/beverages of any kind, food items, and other products sold at the festival are not allowed to be used as promotional items.
4. The festival is held regardless of weather conditions. Exhibitors are encouraged to bring sunscreen, hats, and other protective items to be prepared for changes in weather conditions.
5. Set-up time will be scheduled by the Kimchi Festival Committee between 7 am – 9:30 am on Saturday. Spaces must be in service during all hours of the festival and until they close each day. Space assignment and set-up information will be emailed by August 25th, 2025. The Kimchi Festival Committee reserves the right to change the location of an exhibitor’s space in the event the exhibitor is not set up during the specified time.
6. The Kimchi Festival Committee reserves the right to prohibit and remove displays and handouts which, in the opinion of the Kimchi Festival Committee, detract from the family nature of the festival or its general theme to promote legitimate businesses.
7. The Kimchi Festival Committee is not required to make any refunds for cancellation of exhibits after August 31, 2025.
8. Exhibitors assume responsibility for their own displays, promotions, money, other financial instruments, and property in the festival and agree to hold the Kimchi Festival Committee harmless.
9. Those businesses needing electricity should indicate that on their application and pay the additional fee. Those using electricity must provide a 50-foot or longer extension cord. Electrical outlets are limited to specific areas.
10. Every effort will be made to accommodate a vendor’s choice of space selection. The Kimchi Festival Committee reserves the final right to place vendors.
11. Applications are only considered complete once both the form and the payment
have been received.
12. Exhibitors must sign a form holding that they release the Kimchi Festival Committee and the city’s liability for damage or theft of products beyond their control, including but not limited to cash, checks, and credit card slips.
